Delete your Sakinah account
Delete in the app
If you can open Sakinah on a phone where you are signed in:
- Open Profile.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm. This cannot be undone.
That step deletes your Sakinah sign-in and the cloud data tied to the account. On that phone it also clears Sakinah data stored in the app, including journal photos saved on the device. The same local-only data on another phone stays until you delete the account there or uninstall Sakinah.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot open the app, email privacy@sakinah.app from the address on the account. Use the subject “Delete my Sakinah account” and include the email you signed in with. We delete the account after we confirm the request is yours.
What is deleted
- Your Sakinah sign-in.
- Synced preferences, journal entries and cloud journal photos, salah logs, and learn progress.
- Friends profile, social content, push tokens, billing and credit records held by Sakinah, and study-circle membership.
- On the phone where you tap Delete account: Sakinah data stored in the app.
What is kept
- Purchase records that Apple or Google keep for App Store or Google Play charges.
- A record we are legally required to keep, and only for as long as that duty lasts.
More detail is in the Privacy Policy.
